Student Teaching

I am so excited to be student teaching at Myron Green Elementary as an physical education teacher!

Green is an Athletic Magnet school so they care a lot about making sure the students are learn about healthy lifestyles by receiving daily physical education and by encouraging them to bring and eat healthy snacks and lunches. This is the schools focus:

The students receive 55 minutes of structured physical education 2 times a week with an additional 15 minutes of running before school even starts.

7:30am - 7:45am - Pledge of Allegiance, Gecko Peace Pledge, and daily patriotic song in the courtyard with the whole school.

7:45am to 8:35am - 1st class of the day teaching, depending on the day, either 5th graders or 2nd graders.

8:40am to 9:35am - 2nd class of the day teaching, depending on the day, either 4th graders or 2nd graders.

9:35am to 9:55am - Recess Duty (1st - 5th grade)

10:00am to 10:55am - 3rd class of the day teaching, depending on the day, either 4th graders with Kindergarteners or two classes of Kindergarteners.

11:00am to 11:55am - 4th class of the day teaching, depending on the day, either 3rd graders or 1st graders.

12:00pm to 12:30pm - My Lunch (first real break of the day)

12:35pm to 12:55pm - Lunch Recess Duty (3rd - 5th grade)

1:00pm to 1:55pm - 5th class of the day teaching, depending on the day, either 3rd graders or 1st graders.

2:00pm to 3:00pm - Wrap up the day and prepare for the next day.

It is a very long and exhausting day but a lot of fun at the same time!

I started teaching September 9th and this will be my whole life till the end of January!
