LIfe and Adoption Update

In other news, Corona is good. I really miss my friends sometimes but I am grateful that Robert has a job. I have been looking into getting a part-time job while I finish my Masters classes but I haven't been successful yet. Unfortunately, with having to drive up to an hour away for classes and having the nights of the classes change every 9 weeks makes it hard to find a job; what I really need is a job that only requires me to work in the mornings and afternoons but not the nights...mmm well I will figure it out.

I am excited for next week because we will be going to our first Riverside adoption orientation meeting so we can start figuring out what will have to be done here in Riverside to get on the adoption list. I know that it will probably take another year before we are on the list but at least we will be doing something and that makes me feel much better.

Other than that school keeps me busy but I still choose to procrastinate, like normal. I like school be I am almost to the point were I feel like I need a break. I was planning on being done by this summer but the classes didn't align up so it looks like I might not get done until the end of this year! At this point I know I want to finish but keeping up that motivation is getting harder and harder. I am just not sure quite were I am taking my path in life is were I want to go. I really feel the urge to be a stay home mom but I have no children to stay home with? Does that make sense? I just feel a bit crazy and torn because I know that I wont even be on a list for children for at least a year and then it could take up to two year or more to receive a child, so the best thing for me is to finish my education but....

Oh, well. Isn't interesting how our lives turn out. I had always imagined that I would get married by 20 and have 5 children before 30. I ended up going on a mission and not getting married until I was 23, which turned out to be a blessing because the mission is were I found the man that I know was supposed to be my husband. I will be 32 this year and still no children(that is a story for another time), now I am hoping and praying for children before I turn 35.

I understand that the Lord has a plan for me but sometimes I wish I was able to see a peek of that plan. Sometimes, even though I know I trust the Lord I doubt myself because I am scared, afraid, lonely, sad, feeling forgotten, or just plain angry. I do understand that those are just ways that Satan tries to tear me down and pull me away from my Heavenly Father but at times it can be hard not to fall.

I guess what I am saying is that I don't know what the Lord has in store for my life but even with the bad times I am willing to trust in Him and His plan, whatever it may be.

Sickness

Ugh, so I am sick and it's not going very well. Usually when I am sick I just push through it and don't complain very much but this time I am sicker than I have been in a really long time. I think I might have caught the sickness from one of the kids I babysat on Thursday, at the gym. I started coughing Friday and it just proceeded to get worst. By Sunday, my whole body ached and I felt like I was going to die. It is now Tuesday and my body no longer aches but I am still coughing and I still have a sore throat. I hope this clears up soon so I can go to my friends baby shower on Thursday!!

Zumba

Have you ever done Zumba?

Zumba at 4EverybodyFitness

For the first time ever I tried Zumba, this past Tuesday. Our RS activity this week was Zumba and then smoothies afterwards. I was fun, besides the fact that someone in RS thought it was a good idea to go around and take pictures of us while we were dancing? Hello, what are they thinking, first off most women don't want their picture taken and second, no one wants their picture taken when they are red faced, sweating, and looking stupid. Anyways...

So after the class the lady, who is my stake and has a workout studio, said that she was looking for free babysitters for the studio, all you have to do is babysit one hour a week and you get to take classes for free at her studio.

So you are looking at the new Thursday morning babysitter. I figured that for an hour of my time I could work out almost everyday for an hour free. Since her classes are $10 a class it's like paying me $10-60, depending on how many classes I attend, an hour. Plus, she doesn't only teach Zumba, she also teaches R.I.P.P.E.D., Pilates, Yoga, Barbell Blast, Turbo Kick, and Hip Hop Hustle.

How's that for a kick in the pants to get started on working out!

Adoption Process Again

Many of you may not know that when we moved we had to start our adoption process all over again. With the county it is a very lengthy process and takes about a year to get approved and then it can take up to two years before you are high enough on the adoption list to start getting calls.

Well now that I am done with my student teaching I decided to get started on getting the adoption process started. So I was looking at Riverside County's orientation classes and they are only offered once a month on Friday from 9am to 2pm. What the heck!! During the day only and only once a month!! Like Robert can ever make that with his new job and both parents have to be there.

It seems like every time we try to take a few steps forward with adoption we get pushed back a mile. So now it looks like we wont be able to even just go to the mandatory orientation until Mach 30th!! To say the least I am very perturbed right now.

My Trip to Utah

My new Nephew

My niece at her ice skating lessons

My new nephew again, he is so cute! I got to hold him multiple times a day, it was awesome.

My Mom and her 8th grandson son.

My childhood best friend drove down from Idaho to see me.

New Year

Awwwe, It is a new year and I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog one bit.

I finished my student teaching finally. I just have to re-due my TPA and then I will receive my teaching credential.

I went to Utah for a week and a half to help out my sister-in-law with her 4th baby, got to take my nieces to school and ice skating lessons, got to visit with my family, and got to see my childhood friend. Mom and Dad came down from Alaska, Rashelle and Alex came down from Idaho, and Boyd flew up from Texas. Oh and Rashelle is pregnant and due in September.

While in Utah Adam, Dad, Rashelle, Alex, and I went paintballing. It was super fun.

My hand got shot 3 different times. During one of the games it started swelling and I had to take my ring off before it got stuck for good.
I miss my family and am so glad that I got to spend time with them before my next set of classes start up again.
